Peer Review Process
Our journal is committed to publishing high-quality, original research through a rigorous, transparent, and well-defined editorial workflow. All submissions are evaluated using a double-blind peer review model, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another. This ensures that every manuscript is assessed solely on its scientific merit, originality, and contribution to the field.
The process begins when authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. The Chief Editor receives each new submission and assigns it to a Section Editor with relevant expertise. The final decision on each manuscript rests with either the Section Editor or the Chief Editor, as designated at this stage.
The Section Editor conducts the initial screening, including a similarity check using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% are returned to the authors for revision before they can proceed. To uphold the double-blind policy, the Section Editor then removes all author names and institutional affiliations from the manuscript and determines the review form to be used. At least two independent reviewers are then assigned, and additional reviewers may be added when needed.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on the clarity of its objectives, the soundness of its methodology, the validity of its results, the significance of its contribution, and the quality of its presentation. They submit their review results and recommendations to the editor responsible for the final decision (the Section Editor or the Chief Editor), who determines whether the manuscript is acceptable as it stands. If further improvement is required, the manuscript is returned to the authors, who must submit a revised version together with a point-by-point response to the reviewers’ comments. The revised manuscript then enters a second round of review, if needed, in which the reviewers and the responsible editor verify that the earlier concerns have been adequately addressed.
Once a manuscript is accepted, it is sent to the Layout Editor for typesetting and formatting, and is then published in the corresponding issue prepared by the Chief Editor. Throughout the process, all parties are expected to uphold confidentiality, objectivity, and publication ethics in line with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and must not use unpublished material for personal advantage.
